The double-constraint problem
Upload forms rarely ask for just one thing. A typical requirement reads “200 × 230 pixels, maximum 50 KB” — two constraints at once. Most resize tools handle the pixels and leave you to gamble on the file size; most compressors handle the KB and change your dimensions. PDFBison applies both in a single pass: your exact pixels, with quality tuned automatically to duck under the KB limit.
Aspect ratio, handled sensibly
Your image’s real dimensions load into the fields automatically. Change the width and the height follows (or unlock the ratio for exact-dimension requirements that don’t match your photo — the image is stretched to fit, which is what strict portals actually require).
Upscaling: possible, but honest
You can enter dimensions larger than the original, and the tool will oblige — but enlarging can’t invent detail, so expect softness. For portal requirements this rarely matters; for print, start from a bigger original.
