Why exactly 50 KB?
Photo upload fields on application portals, job sites and college admission forms very commonly enforce a 50 KB limit — while a phone camera photo starts at 2–5 MB. Instead of guessing at quality sliders and re-checking the file size five times, PDFBison works backwards from the number: it measures, adjusts, and re-measures automatically until your image is under 50 KB.
Quality first, dimensions second
The engine tries to hit the target purely by optimizing JPG quality at your image’s original dimensions. Only when that is not enough does it scale the image down, step by step — so you always keep as much resolution as 50 KB physically allows. The result panel shows the final dimensions so there are no surprises.
PNG and WEBP welcome
Portals usually want JPG anyway — so whatever you drop in (JPG, PNG, screenshot, WEBP), the output is a clean, universally accepted JPG. Transparent areas are placed on a white background.
