How it works

Step 1

Add your WEBP files

Drop one or many WEBP files into the box above.

Step 2

Pick quality

High keeps maximum detail; Small file trims the size for uploads.

Step 3

Convert and download

One file downloads as a JPG; several arrive as a single ZIP.

Built for private image conversion

Private by design

Conversion runs entirely in your browser — files are never uploaded.

Batch with ZIP

Convert one file or dozens; multiple outputs download together as a ZIP.

Portal-ready output

Get a clean, universally accepted format without leaving this page.

Why WEBP files cause trouble

WEBP is Google’s image format — smaller files, better compression, and now the default on a huge share of websites. That is great for page speed and terrible the moment you try to use the image anywhere else. Save a picture from a website and you get a .webp file that upload portals reject, older photo editors refuse to open, and many devices preview as a blank icon.

JPG is the universal fallback

Converting to JPG solves the compatibility problem permanently — every application, portal, printer and operating system built in the last thirty years opens a JPG. The conversion is a re-encode of the decoded image, so what you see is exactly what you get.

Batch conversion, one ZIP

Saved twenty images from a site? Drop them all in at once. Each becomes a JPG and the set arrives as a single ZIP instead of twenty separate downloads. Files that cannot be read are skipped and reported rather than silently dropped.

Private by architecture

Conversion happens entirely inside your browser using its native WEBP decoder. Zero bytes are uploaded — no server ever sees your images.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert WEBP to JPG for free?
Drop your WEBP files into the tool above, choose a quality level, and press Convert. A single file downloads as a JPG; multiple files arrive together in one ZIP.
Why won't my WEBP file open or upload anywhere?
WEBP is a newer web format that many upload portals, older editors and some devices still don't accept. Converting to JPG makes the image universally readable.
Does converting WEBP to JPG lose quality?
JPG is a lossy format, so a re-encode is never pixel-perfect — but at High quality the difference is invisible in normal viewing. Choose High when the image matters.
Can I convert many WEBP files at once?
Yes. Add as many as you like; they're converted in sequence and delivered as a single ZIP file with no daily limits.
What happens to transparent areas?
JPG doesn't support transparency, so transparent regions are placed on a white background. If you need transparency preserved, convert to PNG instead.
Is it safe to convert images online here?
Yes — your files are never uploaded. PDFBison uses your browser's own image decoder, so everything stays on your device.
