Why exactly 100 KB?
100 KB is the most common general-purpose upload cap — profile photos, document scans, attachments in web forms and registration systems. Instead of guessing at quality sliders and re-checking the file size five times, PDFBison works backwards from the number: it measures, adjusts, and re-measures automatically until your image is under 100 KB.
Quality first, dimensions second
The engine tries to hit the target purely by optimizing JPG quality at your image’s original dimensions. Only when that is not enough does it scale the image down, step by step — so you always keep as much resolution as 100 KB physically allows. The result panel shows the final dimensions so there are no surprises.
PNG and WEBP welcome
Portals usually want JPG anyway — so whatever you drop in (JPG, PNG, screenshot, WEBP), the output is a clean, universally accepted JPG. Transparent areas are placed on a white background.
